In a SUV accident Jeff Gladney a 25 year old Arizona Cardinals player died

When his SUV crashed in Dallas over the holiday weekend, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney lost his life. He was 25 years old.

It was announced on Monday that Gladney, a 2020 NFL draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings, had been released.

The Cardinals said they were “shocked and saddened” to learn of Jeff Gladney’s death. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all those who have lost a loved one to this terrible tragedy.”

“Jeff’s current and former teammates and coaches who are mourning his life lost much too soon” were mourned by the Vikings. Gladney was killed in a Dallas-area car accident early Monday, according to the NFL.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Gladney’s agent, Brian Overstreet, is based in Houston. Requests for additional information from Overstreet were not immediately returned.

NBC, It was reported by Dallas-Fort Worth that Gladney was one of two people killed in an accident with a Mercedes-Benz SUV on the Woodall Rodgers Freeway’s service road overnight.

Family members told the station that Mercedes Palacios, 26, was also found dead at the scene of the accident. Apparently, she was riding shotgun with her boyfriend in his SUV.

One factor that investigators are looking into is whether or not speed was a factor. J.J. Watt, another Cardinals defender, described the news as “just tragic.”

Jalen Reagor, a former Texas Christian University teammate who played alongside Gladney, tweeted: “Lost my Brother… ain’t much more I can take man damn.”

Eno Benjamin, another Cardinals player, tweeted: “We’re all thinking of you and praying for your entire family.” I’m so grateful for your friendship, bro. “

TCU said Gladney, a cornerback from New Boston, Texas, was one of the best high school players in the state.

In the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Vikings selected him. Earlier this year, he agreed to terms with the Cardinals.
