The Indian Premier League IPL 2024 Full Schedule has finally been revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), ending the long wait. The announcement that all 74 IPL 2024 matches will take place in India, with important games scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad and Chennai in the later stages of the competition, is one of the major highlights.
At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches are scheduled for May 21 and 22, respectively. The Qualifier 2 and Final will take place at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on May 24 and 26. Following the release of the dates for the first 21 games, BCCI has organized the rest of the schedule with ease, with the 22nd match scheduled for Monday, April 8. The second phase begins with a night matchup between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has refuted rumors that the IPL 2024 may be held in part in the United Arab Emirates, stating that India will host the competition in its entirety. This choice was made amid security worries because of the approaching general elections, which are set for April 19–June 1 and June 4 for vote counting. The IPL scheduling team has expertly created a schedule that steers clear of conflicts with election dates in multiple stages, guaranteeing the tournament’s seamless development while maintaining the home-and-away format.
Punjab Kings’ home games against Chennai Super Kings on May 5 (a day game) and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9 (a night game) will be held in Dharamsala, which is known as the team’s secondary base. There will also be two thrilling matches in Guwahati, the preferred second venue for the Rajasthan Royals. The league phase will conclude on May 19 with a matchup between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. On May 15, Punjab Kings will play. All things considered, the IPL 2024 Full Schedule season will enthrall cricket fans all over India.
