Moeen Ali, an all-rounder for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), continued to demonstrate why the franchise decided to keep him by taking a wicket during Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) run chase on Friday. He was able to follow up his batting performance by taking a wicket.

In the first innings, Moeen scored 93 runs off 57 balls, which contributed to more than 60 percent of CSK’s final total of 150. Moeen was having a dream at the plate, smacking 13 fours and three sixes while everyone else struggled on the surface.

In the pursuit of runs, Jos Buttler was unsuccessful once more, whereas Yashasvi Jaiswal’s excellent run kept going unabated. Sanju Samson played a shaky 15 off 20 balls, but Moeen himself took the crucial wicket of Devdutt Padikkal. Moeen’s performance helped the team win.

Padikkal was forced to play a sweep shot after the crafty off-spinner floated one up on the middle stump and the leg stump. The batter who is tall completely missed the ball, and Moeen got his first wicket of the match when the ball touched the stumps and caused it to fall over.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, N Jagadeesan, MS Dhoni (captain & wicketkeeper), Mitchell Santner, Prashant Solanki, Simarjeet Singh, Matheesha Pathirana, and Mukesh Choudhary make up the CSK playing XI. Mukesh Choudhary is the team’s wicketkeeper.
