Popular South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, formerly known as Samantha Akkineni, is best known for her roles in Telugu and Tamil movies.

She was born to a Telugu father and a Malayalam mother on April 28, 1987, in Tamil Nadu. She has two older brothers but was raised in Chennai and is the family’s youngest child.

She is a fierce advocate for locally produced art and clothing. She promotes the weaving industry in Telangana and serves as the state’s handloom ambassador.

Samantha attended the Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School for her undergraduate studies before obtaining her commerce degree from Stella Maris College in Chennai. She began pursuing a modeling career while still a college student.

She then started acting and made her screen debut in the Tamil-language version of the Telugu film Yeh Maaya Chesave in 2010. She won the Nandi Award after winning her first Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress for the movie.

She then appeared in the Tamil film Baana Kaathadi before appearing in Moscowin Kavery. She finally received her first high-profile Telugu film in 2012, Dookudu, starring Mahesh Babu.

It was a huge success and one of the most prosperous movies ever made. Samantha also received a great deal of praise for her performance and numerous job offers from the business. She is best known for her Telugu movies, Neethane En Ponvasantham, and Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu.

To kick off her Hollywood career, Samantha will be working with Philip John, the director of the critically acclaimed “Downtown Abbey” series and winner of a BAFTA.
